Throughout key stage 3, regular informal assessments will take place in class, to ensure your child is on the right path for achieving their personal best.


In year 9 students will choose the subjects they will focus on in year 10 and 11.

Students will be guided via:

  • An individual interview with a senior member of staff
  • Assessment data that shows strengths
  • Parental information events
  • Assemblies focused on new GCSE subjects

During term 5 of Year 9, we support our learners to choose the subjects they will focus their attention on for GCSE. Years 10 and 11 will be focused on GCSE studies.

Wednesday 26th April – Year 9 Options assembly (for students only)

Thursday 11th May (4:30pm – 6pm) – Year 9 options evening

Thursday 18th May – Deadline for completing the online options form
